At this time the Royal Air force removed the red circle and used blue and
navy blue roundel and fin flash to distinguish them from Japanese military
aircraft in Southeast Asia.

Emblem of Free French Air Force troops in the Royal Air Force during World
War II (still image from a Youtube video). It is not clear if this
emblem designated all Free French Air Force troops in the RAF, or just this
special squadron. It's very likely that the color scheme of the emblem's
background was blue-red, completed with the white
Cross of Lorraine.
